If a person could be considered vintage royalty, Christina Politis would definitely fit the criteria.
Christina’s family owned and operated The Attic, a long-standing Las Vegas vintage staple on Main Street. Christina was at the shop a lot. She practically grew up there, and worked there when she was old enough. As time went on, she started noticing that most of the vintage lovers coming by the shop were from Texas – Austin, specifically. She was curious about the Austin scene, and checked it out while on a trip to visit some family.
When The Attic was forced to close their doors after 20 years of serving up some of the finest vintage in Vegas (and arguably the region), Christina decided it would be the perfect time to move the shop to Texas. Five years later, she moves between Austin and Vegas, slinging finds and picking in between.
We caught up with Christina to discuss vintage IRL and talk about her favorites. Extremely goofy, tall, tan and gorgeous, Christina favors laid back classics, and though she’ll occasionally reach for a good ’50s dress, most days she prefers to throw a jean jacket over a sweet vintage tee from her beau’s collection (@thistanukibay).
We caught her looking rad AF in classic ‘80s high-waisted acid-wash jeans, with a ‘90s cowprint faux fur layered over a super soft California Raisins t-shirt. Her neon backpack, complete with huge working clock, is straight from the ‘80s and giving us major Flavor Flav vibes. She set it off fresh with yellow and black Onitsuka Tigers – while not strictly vintage, they are the same style they’ve made since the late ‘60s.
Check out looks from her shop here.
